For students and career-changers, a desktop CNC can compress the learning loop: you can design → CAM → cut → inspect → iterate in one room, building the exact skills employers test for (fixture strategy, probing, tool libraries, process notes). Once you’re confident, transition those workflows to larger shop equipment with minimal re-learning.
