Quick Navigation
From September 5–9, 2025, Berlin’s Messe halls were packed for IFA 2025—and Makera’s stand (H20-158) became a go-to stop for tech enthusiasts, creative professionals, educators, and small business innovators eager to explore what desktop CNC can bring to design and manufacturing today.
First Offline Sneak Peek: Makera Z1 + Cyclone in Action
Across the five days, all three machines—Carvera, Carvera Air, and the Makera Z1—ran continuous live demos, showcasing metal machining, 4-axis rotary operations, and high-detail relief carving side by side.
IFA also marked the first in-person preview of the Makera Z1. Visitors watched the new compact machine cutting right alongside the Carvera lineup, while our benches ran with the Makera Cyclone Dust Collector to keep chips under control and sightlines clear. Even during aluminum passes and wood reliefs, the Cyclone’s high-efficiency extraction maintained a tidy, easy-to-observe workspace—highlighting how clean and practical desktop CNC can be.
Crowd Favorite: The M-Tank Battle Arena
This year’s activity zone centered on our M-Tank battle arena. We brought pre-assembled, CNC-made M-Tanks (machined parts + PCBs) and set them loose in a themed battlefield complete with ruins and buildings. Visitors queued up to pilot the IR-enabled tanks and go head-to-head—an energetic way to showcase precision-machined components, electronics integration, and reliability under “combat” conditions.
Makera Z1 Wins IFA Innovation Award
We’re thrilled that Makera Z1 received “Best in Content Creation” at the IFA Innovation Awards 2025. The category rewards the best tools for modern creators, and Z1’s creator-centric design stood out.
Makera Z1 — “Entry-Level CNC, Pro-Level Power”
- Built-in camera for remote monitoring and time-lapse capture, making it easy to share processes and outcomes
- Integrated dust solution: a spindle-mounted high-pressure blower and internal ducting to clear chips efficiently and collect debris via the base port
- Compact form factor that’s attractive, easy to move, and studio-friendly
More specs and the full story are coming soon—Makera Z1 is heading to Kickstarter. Stay tuned for the launch announcement.
Upcoming Release: Makera Studio (formerly Makera CAM)
User Experience Optimization: A comprehensive upgrade of the UI and interaction design on both desktop and mobile.
Integrated Control Software: Integrate the desktop machine-control software into Studio to shorten the operation path.
Smart Machining Wizard: Provide preset machining solutions such as reliefs, 4-axis, and PCB, and automatically compute and recommend toolpath parameters based on geometric features.
Makerables - Makera Content Community (Coming Soon)
Model Library: Share and obtain models. Key features include model sharing, maker competitions, and points rewards.
AI Modeling: Create beautiful works quickly—even without modeling experience. Includes AI Gallery and AI modeling (image-to-model, relief generation, 3D model generation, etc.)
People, Feedback, Momentum
The stand stayed busy with heavy foot traffic, enthusiastic creator drop-ins, and many existing users who stopped by to swap tips and show their parts. The most common reactions: appreciation for the quiet, enclosed workflows, the precision of small parts, and how approachable multi-process jobs felt once they saw Makera Z1, Carvera, and Carvera Air running side-by-side.
